Jouko's incredible story begins in 1963, when he was the sole survivor of a plane crash that killed all 25 other passengers and crew members. He was only 23 years old at the time. Then, in 1975, he was struck by lightning while working as a camp counselor. Miraculously, he survived with only minor injuries.
